PC Help for a Friend

Post by Orionspaw » Fri Jun 16, 2017 9:38 am

Hello Friends, a buddy of mine is having some PC issues and asking for help so I thought I'd come to my good old Vindi friends who're always able to aid me in my computer related adventures.
While gaming (most noticeably Overwatch) my PC will unpredictably black, grey, blue, or green screen with no warning. Leaving all things running in background (I can still hear my team and other in game sounds or music)...sending my monitors into sleep mode immediately after the colored screen and forcing me to hard reset. I've searched the deepest bowels of the internet and have nothing to show for it...Any help is appreciated, (Yes, I have tried turning it off and back on again...no i did not use enough parenthesis in this post.)

GTX 980 seems likely to be the culprit:
