First one starts slow. Just power through to the climax and if you dont like it after that you can safely bail.

Powered through over 900 pages now. When I'm done I'll read Dune then the second book.

Almost done with Words of Radiance now; I read it instead of Dune. Books are fun to read.

A book I think everyone should read is Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes.

How'd you like wor? Has some slow parts but the final quarter of the book is fire. The shallan backstory parts pay off well I thought.

It was fun to read. I burned through most of it in 3 days? The best part of both books was Wit's parable of the island people (#nospoilers). The books aren't breaking any literary ground or doing anything really special but what they are doing they do well.

Yeah the actual writing doesn't blow me away but the stories themselves are just really really enjoyable.
